Esperaba la confirmación de la noticia de la renovación de Pako con poco interés. Creo que tras Nuno y Neville tocaba una apuesta de perfil alto, que recompusiese una plantilla necesitada de una mano firme y capacitada para marcar un nuevo rumbo. Por otro lado, no se puede considerar a Ayestarán como un novato, aunque su experiencia previa está sin contrastar en Liga. Trae un bagaje importante en los banquillos, aunque circunscrito a tareas de staff técnico. A su favor tiene estos meses de contacto con la plantilla, que le permite poder colaborar activamente con Suso en el importante ajuste que se debe realizar, así como su adaptación a una situación económica a la baja en 2016-2017. Está claro que será un entrenador cómodo para el Club en ese sentido. Como sensación puramente personal, lo prefiero a varios de los nombres que habían sonado, y desde luego voy a apoyar su trabajo a partir de ahora. Creo que la ola de opinión desfavorable que se había formado debería moderarse hasta ver su desempeño en los primeros meses de la temporada venidera.

1) En lugar de realizar una revolución, y mira que tuvo oportunidades, se bajó los pantalones ante las vacas sagradas (como buen tibetano), los mismos que se han tocado los huevos y la chola a dos manos. Todo ello en detrimento de otros que se esforzaban más. Hasta Gary Neville, en sus últimos encuentros, se dio cuenta de en quiénes no debía confiar.
2) Por añadidura, no espero que los mismos jugadores acomodados y pagados de sí mismos se marchen o rectifiquen la forma de trabajar y comportarse profesionalmente. Un entrenador que se pasa por el forro la meritocracia pierde toda la credibilidad, a pesar de su discurso repleto sandeces coelhianas.
3) El gran benefactor de Pako es Suso García Pitarch, conocido como el esquirol, felado por gran parte de la prensa valenciana pero odiado en los dos últimos lugares en los que estuvo (Zaragoza y La Coruña) por sus nefastas decisiones. No espero nada bueno de él: aunque claro, parece que Lim y su extensión en Valencia Layhoon Rottenmeier se piensan que el Valencia CF es un equipucho de mierda que con quedar a mitad tabla se puede dar por satisfecho.
4) Tácticamente, en cuanto intentó que el equipo evolucionara, naufragó en un déjà vu que hizo recordar al Valencia de Miroslav Djukic: posesión estéril, equipo sin rumbo ni ideas claras, pérdidas peligrosas.
5) Se cargó a Vezo cuando pintaba para Branislav Ivanovic (y Mina fue un accidente).
Pese a ello, es cierto que se vieron mejoras físicas, pero basta con contratarle como preparador físico.

The club needed big changes this summer and those changes haven’t occurred. Pako may be the dressing room’s choice but I don’t think much of the dressing room’s ability for anything after watching them last season – they certainly can’t play to win football matches very often and this is pretty much all they should be judged on.
In fact I imagine they will be confused as to why Pako is still there in July – «We thought Paco was the new manager? How could they think we still wanted you, didn’t they watch us against Villareal, Getafe, Las Palmas and Real Sociedad? We couldn’t have made it any clearer unless we had urinated over you. Oh well, doesn’t matter, we’ll have you out by December. Do you like my new tattoo? It is my daughter’s name in a language that doesn’t exist yet. You go and put the cones out we’ll be ready soon, we just have to compare strange rashes picked up in Ibiza.»
I keep reading that Pako wants Enzo out because he is toxic. I accept he is often injured and is expensive. But from his appearances on the pitch what I see is a man determined to win, who will sacrifice his own body in his desire to win football matches. I can see why this may clash with some of his team mates who prefer to save themselves and then blame managers, tactics, team mates, fans etc for their own failings. Pako presumably is on their side hence he gets their support – not what I want. I don’t want to see Barragan, Parejo, etc playing next year, and really don’t want to see more of their type signed to create a happy but undetermined atmosphere.
I feel very uninspired. I believe Feghouli will be unveiled in August as a new signing – cheap, experienced and has had a good season or two in his career. Actually I don’t believe he will be unveiled – he has too much experience of Champions League football and has had good seasons at a top club so he isn’t the type of player we appear to be after. Instead we will be signing the Parejos, Barragans, Piattis etc of the future – players who occasionally have something but usually have nothing – but are totally inoffensive unless you happen to care if the team wins or loses in which case they become infuriating.
What is there to look forward to?
Negredo being linked with some big clubs in Europe…linked rather than sold because who the hell would sign him, but at least we can dream. Parejo and Barragan waiting for their big money move, and waiting and waiting and waiting. Players who are deemed not good enough to share the pitch with these giants of the game sold because they are wanted elsewhere. Maybe Paco starting the season fit and determined to become the Spanish Luis Suarez rather than a less able Soldado. Perhaps Vezo getting a game at the start of the season but probably only until we sign a 27 year old for €10million who is slower, weaker and less able than him who will every bloody match because he makes the other boys in the dressing room giggle with his amusing jokes, tattoos and they can blame him when they lose.
And finally Pako losing his job thanks to the very men who got him the job, and as he leaves he may ponder that the toxicity in the dressing room came from the majority rather than the minority and then he can wonder if he could have done things differently. And then we can go all of this process again and again until someone stumbles upon the idea of really changing things.

However I am planning to do a small example that uses the Vista DWM approach, and with some holidays coming up I should get around to it within 2 or 3 weeks.Btw I used to use the CopyFromScreen method a while back (before using Vista) but had some HDC leaking issues – I guess those are corrected in 3.5 SP1?Cheers,J
